Approval of conditions & building regulations for new flats
Project Brief
Our client had already got planning permission for this development. However, this came with certain conditions attached asking for more details about certain aspects of the development. Our client could not go ahead with his project until he had submitted these details for approval. He also needed to show Building Regulations Compliance in order to proceed with construction.Project Outcome
The conditions asked for details about the external materials used on the house to be approved should they be different from the original house. Our architects prepared thorough designs of our proposal for changes to the materials of the window, door and roof. These changes were made to be more amenable to future occupiers and to provide the property with a sleek and modern appearance. Before starting construction, it was necessary to show compliance with Building Regulation Standards.Get Planning and Architecture liaised with a Structural Engineer to provide detailed drawings showing that the development would be structurally sound. This became part of the detailed design package our planners drew up, including layouts, cross sections and explanatory notes. This was lodged to the building control officer and was approved. Our client was now able to begin construction of the flats.
