Brian Gatenby: Director, Chartered Planner and Chartered Architect

Brian GatenbyBAHons, BArch, MA Planning, RIBA, MRTPI

Brian Gatenby leads the town planning and architecture team as both a chartered planner with the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and as a chartered architect (ARB RIBA) with his many years of experience in Architectural and Planning projects for both residential and commercial projects in the UK and overseas. Described as 'extremely thorough and always approachable', Brian has over 30 years' experience in almost all types of architectural design, from small domestic and commercial projects to large leisure developments in both private and public sectors. He was congratulated for 'the excellence of his design' when LivingWell opened their second health club (opposite the House of Lords), and he subsequently master planned the first Virgin Active Health Club. Latterly, much of his work has been in the residential field and he has been personally involved in well over 500 completed construction projects in many parts of the UK, including Wales, Cornwall, London and the North. His immense experience enables him to focus on the essence of your requirements and, with your budget constantly in mind, he will help you get things built. Brian is the responsible architect and Principal Planner for Get Planning and Architecture Ltd and he leads the team of highly qualified architects, architectural assistants, planning consultants and chartered town planners.

 

Warren Pierson: Chartered Planner

Warren PiersonBAHons PgDip MRTPI

With over 20 years' experience in local government planning and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) since 1996, Warren is well versed in the complicated practices, policies and procedures of planning legislation and the workings of Local Planning Authorities. He has worked in the planning departments of many London Boroughs (primarily south London) and also other Borough Councils. This has primarily been in the field of Development Control. However, Warren also has considerable experience in the fields of Planning Enforcement, Planning Policy, Design and Conservation. Warren is particularly knowledgeable about Planning Appeals.

 

James Fairbairn: Architect

James FairbairnDipl Arch Cantab ARCUK, ARB
James is an ARB registered architect whose professional experience since 1981 has been mainly in retail in retail and commercial property projects in the southeast of England. More recently, he has also been project architect on a church complex in the Wimbledon area as well as on a luxury housing development in Southwark. In addition, over the years he has carried out a number of small domestic extensions mainly in the Wimbledon area.

 

Tom Cheffers: Planning and Architectural Consultant

During the past 8 years Tom has developed a wealth of expertise and experience in residential and commercial projects comprising of varying sizes and complexities. Possessing strong technical knowledge in planning and construction, Tom has successfully managed hundreds of projects through their various stages of works, typically including: design development, planning strategies, applications and appeals, building regulations full plans compliance and supporting technical reports. Tom is also successfully building and maintaining a network of highly skilled professional external consultants and contractors to assist Get Planning and Architecture's existing and new clientele.

Tom is a graduate of Property Development and Planning (BA HONS) at the University of the West of England and is shortly to be awarded with a Masters degree in planning at London Southbank University.

 

Saman Zadehkochak: Planning and Architectural Consultant

Saman KochakMA (Architecture)

Saman has nine years' experience working as a chartered architect overseas, where he studied full time for five years for his Masters in architecture. He has been working in the UK as a senior architectural assistant whilst studying further so that he can in the future qualify as an ARB registered architect. He has considerable experience in residential, retail and commercial design, detailing and project management. Saman brings a wealth of knowledge and design experience to the Get Planning and Architecture team.

 

Chaitanya Kuvalekar: Senior Architectural Assistant

Chaitanya KuvalekarBArch, MArch

Chaitanya has studied architecture for five years full time, at graduate and masters degree level. After completing his Bachelor of Architecture in India, Chaitanya did a Masters of Architecture at the University of Lincoln, specialising in Urban Design.  Since then he has worked with various prestigious Architectural practices in both the UK as a senior architectural assistant and India, working on a wide array of retail, residential, institutional and industrial projects.

 

Rita Moroszki: Architectural Assistant

Rita MoroszkiBA Hons (Architecture)

Rita obtained her architecture degree in Hungary after studying full time for three years. She has worked in a number of practices and has practical experience in a wide variety of projects from large scale master-planning to smaller residential and interior design projects, working from early concept stage through to technical design. She is also skilled in representation and 3d visualisations and has valuable experience in the construction industry.

 

Helen Binnie : Director

Helen BinnieBSc MSc. PGCE. MInLM, FRSA

Helen has 25 years' experience in management and leadership of both large and small companies and of providing management consultancy for amongst others Government Department Policy units, charitable organisations, the education sector and the hospitality and leisure industry. she has a specialisation in HR, and Quality Management. She is on the board of several charitable organisations and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. At Get Planning and Architecture she is responsible for all the areas that support the architectural and planning team such as HR, Finance, Operations, Support Services and Marketing.

 

Hilary Appleby: Operations Manager

Hilary ApplebyHilary is the Get Planning and Architecture Operations Manager. She is a highly experienced manager who ensures that systems that support the organisation run smoothly. She has an excellent knowledge of the planning and appeals processes and is therefore well placed to advise prospective and existing clients how best to navigate the sometimes complex planning processes.

 

Alison Tuohey: Customer Relations Manager

Alison TuoheyBSc, CIPD

Alison has worked with the Get Planning and Architecture team for a number of years and is often a first port of call for clients, providing them with advice and guidance on how to proceed with their project. She assesses clients' requirements and then act as a conduit with rest of the Get Planning and Architecture team to make sure the client requirements are clearly understood. Alison is a highly experienced manager in the commercial field and is skilled at translating the clients' wishes into concrete suggestions. She remains on hand to assist clients after they have given instructions and their project has started. Alison is a chartered member of IPD.
