Surrey Heath Planning & Conservation Areas

Conservation areas are sites of historical or architectural importance. Building and redevelopment can be a more complex process due to more planning regulations and constraints applying within such areas. However our highly trained staff have the expertise to address more challenging planning and design issues. We achieve the aims of our clients both on an aesthetic and functional level whilst adhering to regulations set out by the local planning authority.

Planning in Surrey Heath

The population of Surrey Heath at the time of the most recent census in 2011 was 86,200, whilst the number of households was 31,700. These figures showed a 7.3% and 5.7% increase from ten years previously. With the rise in population and number of households in Surrey Heath, plus the current shortage of housing within the South East, there is a growing demand for new builds and extensions. Get Planning and Architecture is expert in both of these and, if you are planning an extension or new build, our team of architects and planners can guide you expertly through the process.

The main areas of Surrey Heath are: Bagshot, Bisley, Chobham, Frimley Green, Heatherside, Lighwater, Mytchett and Deepcut, Old Dean, Parkside, St Michaels, St Pauls, Town, Watchetts, West End and Windlesham.

The architects and planning at Get Planning and Architecture stay up to date with building and development news in the UK. This is so that our planners and architects understand the current needs of each area and its residents.

On 1st July 2014, Surrey Heath Borough Council set out their vision for the regeneration of Camberley – Surrey Heath’s largest town. The £310million project will involve transforming some of the town centre’s main spaces and streets, including the High Street and the London Road Block, and large improvements to infrastructure, including changes to the M3 between junctions 2 and 4A. The council had submitted planning applications for the project in 2015. If agreed, the work was estimated to be finished by 2018.
