Get Planning and Architecture gets appeal win for teaching facility, Croydon
Get Planning and Architecture have added another appeal win to their large list of success.
This client needed permission for an existing garden outbuilding to be used as an after-school teaching facility, and the retention of their rear conservatory. Their retrospective planning application had been refused by the council and so they really needed to win at appeal in order to be able to legally keep these buildings as they were.
Get Planning and Architecure's experts reviewed the documents relating to the refusal, visited the client and site and studied the relevant planning policies. Based on the information gathered, our skilled appeal writer constructed arguments demonstrating why the conservatory and outbuilding should be granted permission, and how they would not produce the negative effects such as 'noise and disturbance' that the council had suggested. We also highlighted the value of the after-school centre to the local area .
The planning inspectorate was convinced by our arguments. He concluded that the teaching facility was 'a low key use that provides a valued local service. Accordingly I conclude that the appeal should succeed'. Ref: 6873
